Lover drugs, rapes girlfriend in Khaitan flat Many criminals, illegals arrested in nation-wide police crackdown

KUWAIT CITY, March 6: Security patrol teams spread at various locations in the country arrested 16 persons wanted for criminal, financial and residency violations, and related offences. Two of the suspects were in possession of illicit drugs, while another one had an unspecified quantity of hashish.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Operations Ministry of Interior Major General Mustafa Al-Za’abie directed security units to spread out patrol teams at strategic locations in search of lawbreakers, while a rescue team arrested four citizens for firing gunshots.
Another rescue team attached to the Hawalli Command apprehended two citizens who were found drunk, and wanted for financial crime related cases. The officers spotted the suspects as they engaged in a fisticuff.
The same patrol team seized a GCC national in possession of a certain quantity of hashish after he hit three cars in Salmiya, while he was in an unstable condition.
A patrol team arrested another citizen wanted for evading a debt of KD 2,800, whereas a patrol team at the Southern Region arrested one GCC national and another Bedoun in possession of illicit drugs. The officers have referred the culprits for prosecution.
Meanwhile, a patrol team attached to the Farwaniya Command arrested four Asians wanted for various criminal activities, in addition to a Kuwaiti citizen wanted for his involvement in financial case.
In Ahmadi, a patrol team seized two youths in possession of illicit items along King Fahad Highway. The officers have since referred the youths to the concerned authority for prosecution.

Girl raped on date:
A Ku-waiti girl lodged a complaint in Khaitan police station accusing her lover of raping her, reports Al-Anba daily.
The girl narrated her boyfriend lured her into accompanying him to his apartment in Khaitan, where he spiked the drink he gave her, making her lose consciousness. The girl added she only realized the situation after she woke up naked in a bed. Police will summon the lover for questioning.

Boy, girl in drugs:
Police arr-ested one youth and his girlfriend for consuming drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
The couple was traveling along King Fahad Expressway while they aroused the suspicion of a police patrol on routine duty, due to erratic manner the youth was driving. The couple appeared disoriented when police stopped them, and a piece of hashish was found in their possession.
 

Two brothers held in drug trafficking : The Director General of the Drugs Control General Directorate (DCGD) Brigadier Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah on Saturday referred two brothers to the Public Prosecution after they were arrested in Umm Al-Haiman for trafficking in illicit drugs.
Sheikh Ahmad gathered information about activities of one of the suspects, who was a well known drug dealer, and assigned detectives to track him down, whereby an undercover agent approached him as a prospective buyer of 200 capsules of the contraband for KD 160. The officers arrested him immediately the deal was concluded.
Meanwhile, the suspect led detectives to his residence, where they met his brother who was already high on drugs at the time. The officers searched the second suspect and found 100 narcotic pills on him.
Further investigation led to discovery of 3,200 narcotic pills concealed inside an audiovisual gadget. The suspects confessed to consuming and selling drugs, which they imported from Iraq through a driver. They have been referred to the authority for prosecution.

One hurt in fight: A Kuwaiti man in his 30s suffered a head injury, besides other injuries, in a fist fight he had with his compatriot in Hawalli on Thursday.
Sources say paramedics rushed the injured man to Mubarak Hospital while securitymen arrested the second man. During investigation, the second Kuwaiti said the victim started teasing him while he was driving his vehicle. He then asked the victim to stop his vehicle and both of them got into an argument which soon escalated to a physical fight.
A case was registered and securitymen are waiting for the injured man to recover, in order to take his statement.

Drunkard harasses public: A Kuwaiti man in his 40s was arrested for consuming liquor and harassing passers-by on a road. Securitymen rushed to the scene on receiving information about the drunkard and referred him to a police station. A case was registered.

Asian illegals caught: Farwaniya securitymen have arrested three Asians for violating the residency law.
During an inspection campaign launched recently in Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, the securitymen nabbed three Asians for overstaying in the country.  They were referred to the authorities for the necessary legal action.
In a similar operation carried out by Hawally securitymen recently, two expatriates were arrested for carrying expired civil identification cards. 

Drug overdose blamed: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 30s told police officers in Sulaibikhat that his sports car was stolen by thieves in front of his home at night. Police have circulated the car’s description and number plate at checkpoints. The case has been registered.
In other developments, paramedics rushed to a flat in Riqqa and referred one youth to Farwaniya hospital after the Operations Room received news about a man, who had been found unconscious due to drug overdose. The officers discovered drug related tools and a gram of heroin beside him.

Youth held with ‘pills’: Securitymen have arrested a young Kuwaiti for the possession of an undisclosed quantity of narcotic pills in the northern part of Kuwait.
While patrolling the area, police noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle driven by a Kuwaiti youth.  They then signaled for the driver to pull over for routine inspection, resulting in the discovery of some narcotic pills in the possession of the suspect.  He was referred to the authorities for prosecution.
