Bachelor expats return from work to find flat ‘cleaned’ in Fahaheel
KUWAIT CITY, March 2: Three Egyptians have lodged a complaint at Fahaheel Police Station against unidentified persons who allegedly burgled their apartment and carted away valuable items and cash.
The complainants told police the theft happened while they were at work, stating the apartment was in total disarray when they returned home. After checking their belongings, they discovered that KD 1,000 cash, as well as mobile phones and jewelry worth KD800, were stolen. Investigations are in progress to identify the thieves.
‘Sorcerer’ caught: Police have arrested a youth for overstaying and possession of sorcery tools.
During an intensive security inspection campaign conducted recently in Hawally, police nabbed a youth as he was found to be overstaying in the country. After searching him, the securitymen also discovered some sorcery tools in his possession.
Caretaker robbed: A Bangladeshi has lodged a complaint at Taima Police Station against three unidentified persons he accused of stealing KD 120 and three sheep from him.
According to the complainant, he was working at an animal pen in Salmi when the three suspects approached him and forcibly took KD 120 and three sheep from him. He immediately informed his employer, who accompanied him to the police station to report the incident. He provided police with a detailed description of the thieves and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
Phone shop looted: Some unidentified persons recently burgled a mobile phone shop in Jahra, carting away 80 mobile phones worth KD 2,000.
The owner told police the door was broken when he went to the shop one morning. He said the thieves broke the display windows and took 80 mobile phones. Criminal Evidence Department personnel lifted fingerprints to identify the thieves.
A case was registered and investigations are underway to arrest the suspects.
Liquor found on Asian: Ahmadi securitymen have arrested an Asian for the possession of two bottles of liquor in Fahaheel.
During an inspection campaign in the area, police asked the Asian to pull over as they noticed his suspicious behavior. They searched his vehicle thoroughly until they found two bottles of alcohol. He was referred to the authorities for the necessary legal action.
Wanted man held: Ahmadi police have arrested a Kuwaiti wanted by law for his involvement in a drug related case.
Securitymen found out the Kuwaiti was wanted by law when they checked his records in the database. Sources revealed the suspect had earlier been sentenced to three years in jail for consuming drugs, but he evaded arrest. He was referred to the authorities for prosecution.
