Doctor, friend caught ‘making merry’ with two women Ex-convict arrested in stabbing of kid brother for ‘valid reason’
KUWAIT CITY, March 1: A 35-year-old man reportedly stabbed his 11-year-old brother and left him bleeding at a diwaniya in Doha Sunday.
After receiving information about a child allegedly killed in Doha, the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) dispatched a team of securitymen and paramedics to the scene. Upon arrival at the location, paramedics saw the child lying in a pool of blood with a knife still stuck in his neck. They checked the child’s condition and discovered he is still breathing so they rushed him to Sabah Hospital. He is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under tight security. High-ranking security officials and rescue officers also arrived at the hospital later to check on the condition of the victim and ensure that he is well protected.
Meanwhile, the security authorities quickly launched an intensive search for the suspect - the victim’s brother - who was arrested in Fintas. Preliminary investigations revealed the suspect has been involved in several criminal cases, including the murder of an Asian, and he was released from the Central Jail 11 months ago.
Security sources disclosed the suspect admitted the crime, asserting he has a valid reason for stabbing his brother who sustained three stab wounds in different parts of his body. Investigations are still ongoing at Sulaibikhat Police Station.
Doctor ‘making merry’: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti doctor, his friend and two women for committing indecent acts, reports Al-Rai daily.
This happened when an unidentified man filed a complaint with the police saying he suspects the behavior of his ex-wife who is also the custodian of ‘their’ daughter.
Police put the ex-wife under surveillance and saw her with another woman, believed to be a widow, entering the apartment of the doctor.
Armed with a search and arrest warrant, police then raided the apartment and arrested the doctor and his friend and referred the two couples to the authorities.
2 held in kidnap: Police have arrested two of the four young Kuwaiti men youngsters for kidnapping an unidentified Filipino woman, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the men planned to rape the woman, but the latter jumped out of the moving car and foiled their plans.
The victim provided police some information about the kidnappers from her hospital bed which led to the arrest of the men. Police are looking for the two others.
Police interrogations are continuing.
Asian found dead: The remains of an unidentified Asian man, who allegedly died inside his room of unknown causes, have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to security sources the caretaker of the building where the victim was living alerted police when bad odor emanated from inside. Police have not ruled out crime.
Caught by chance: Police have arrested two people - a Bangladeshi and a bedoun — for trafficking in narcotic pills and drugs, reports Arrouiah daily.
The suspects were caught by chance by a Jahra police patrol on duty in Sulaibiya. The men were riding in a car and they were seen standing by the car side when it had a mechanical failure.
Police chose to search the car and found 220 narcotic pills, three pieces of hashish and a bottle of whisky.
Old man beats guard: Police have arrested an elderly Kuwaiti man for beating a security guard at the Friday market and damaging the gate of the market with his car, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source said this happened when the guard did not allow the man to take his car inside the market because vehicles are not allowed inside.
However, this behavior of the guard infuriated the elderly citizen and he not only beat the guard, he tried in vain to gatecrash with his vehicle.
