Grocer, aide trap, rape Asian woman customer ‘No life without you’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: An Asian woman filed a complaint at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station accusing two Asian men of raping her on Sunday night. She said when she entered a grocery store to buy some items, the workers at the grocery closed the door from inside and outside and raped her.
Securitymen have arrested the suspects.

‘No life without you’
: An Egyptian security guard tried to immolate himself Tuesday morning after receiving a letter from his fiancé saying she wanted to marry another man. He was admitted to Al-Babtain Hospital with 95 percent burns and is in a very critical condition.
The guard, who was working at a school in Al-Qairawan area, doused himself with gasoline and set himself on fire. He reportedly ran out of the school compound, following which people in the vicinity put out the fire and called securitymen.
A case of attempted suicide has been registered against the jilted man. His relatives said he took the extreme step after receiving a disturbing letter from his fiancé.

Inmate found dead
: A 44-year-old inmate of the Central Jail was found dead in his cell, say sources. The inmate, who had AIDS and hepatitis, was serving one-year term. His remains have been referred to Forensics and a case has been registered at Sulaibiya Police Station.
Sources say the deceased was put in a separate cell and so there were no chances of other inmates getting infected.

Youths stab girl: A woman, in her 20s, suffered from stab wounds when two unidentified youths attacked her while she was inside her car along the Restaurants Street in Salmiya Monday.
The Operations Room dispatched securitymen and paramedics to the location after receiving information about the stabbing incident.  They referred the woman to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital and she is said to be in coma.
Police are now looking for the suspects and investigations are in progress to establish the motive behind the assault.

Spare-parts stolen: An Afghani expatriate told police officers in Jahra that thieves raided the spare parts shop he works at the Amghara scrapyard and made away with goods worth KD 900 Monday evening.
The man added he was surprised when he came to work in the morning and found the door of the shop had been broke open. Police registered the case for investigation, and the search for the thieves is on-going.

Iron thieves nabbed:
Jahra securitymen have arrested two youths for stealing iron rods.
During an intensive security campaign launched in Amghara scrapyard recently, the securitymen saw two youths selling iron rods.  When police inquired about the source of the iron rods, the youths suddenly got nervous and confessed that they stole the items from construction sites, resulting in their arrest.

Coke, pills, hash seized: Securitymen arrested a Bedoun and two Syrians for trading in drugs and recovered a large quantity of drugs from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, Anti-drug department agents contacted the Bedoun and persuaded him to sell 3,000 narcotic pills for KD 750 in Sabah Al-Nasser area. When the Bedoun reached the spot, he got suspicious and tried to flee, but securitymen chased and arrested him. On checking his vehicle, they found 1,000 narcotic pills, 150 grams of cocaine and seven fingers of hashish.
During interrogation, the Bedoun told police about his Syrian partner who allegedly provided him drugs. Securitymen then forced the Bedoun to call the Syrian and ask him to come to a certain location with 4,000 narcotic pills, When the Syrian reached the place, he was promptly arrested. He, in turn, guided police to another Syrian partner who was working in a garage in Shuwaikh area. Securitymen arrested the second Syrian too.
