Defence staffers held in kidnap, rape of girl
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: Police have arrested two employees of the Ministry of Defence for kidnapping and raping a Kuwaiti girl, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the victim was walking alone along a road and the ‘rapists’ bundled her into their vehicle, drove her to an apartment in Riqqa and raped her successively.
Based on information given by the victim and intensive police investigations led to the arrest of the suspects. They were referred to the Public Prosecution after the victim picked them from a legal lineup.
Reckless motorist hurt: Paramedics and securitymen arrived in Taima, immediately after the Operations Room received a distress call about a vehicle crashing into the Iron fence of a house in the area, and causing serious injury to a 22-year old person.
According to eyewitnesses, the motorist was driving in a reckless manner, when he lost control of the vehicle and bumped into the fence. The injured person was carried to Jahra hospital by paramedics, and the case was registered at the police station.
Six laptops stolen: A Kuwaiti and his Pakistani employee filed a report at Hawally Police Station against unidentified persons who stole six laptops from his computer shop Tuesday.
According to the Kuwaiti, he received a call from the Pakistani employee that the door of the shop was ajar when he reported for work. He immediately checked the items in the shop and found that six laptops were missing. Criminal Evidence Department personnel later arrived at the scene and lifted fingerprints to identify thieves.
Forger arrested: The immigration officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested an Asian man for entering the country on a forged passport, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the original holder of the passport could not renew the validity of the passport in his home country because he is wanted by law by the authorities there.
However, the suspect bought the passport from the man and forged the validity but he was caught upon arrival at the airport and handed over to police.
