Kuwaiti woman attempts suicide Robbery bid foiled
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16: A Kuwaiti woman in her 20s who tried in vain to end her life by consuming a large quantity of medicine pills, has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
It has been reported the father found his daughter sprawled on the floor of his house unconscious and called for help.
Without giving more details the daily said a case of attempted suicide has been registered against her.
Diwaniya goods stolen: Police are looking for a thief who broke into the Diwaniya of a Kuwaiti man in Riqqa and stole goods — a TV, receiver, laptop computer and cell phone — worth KD 800, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily
It has been reported the thief broke into the Diwaniya when the man went to the mosque for Al-Fajr prayers.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
Want some candies?: The Jahra police have arrested an unidentified person for stealing a van, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint to the police the driver — salesman working for a sweets distribution company — said he parked the car in front of a commercial center in Jahra and went to negotiate a deal with one of the shopkeepers selling chocolates and candies. When he returned he did not find the car.
It has been reported police combed the area and caught the thief red-handed attempting to sell candy to a grocer in the area.
The van was filled with various types of chocolates, sweets and candies.
Theft bid foiled: Police are looking for two suspects who were allegedly tailing an unidentified Kuwaiti man after he withdrew KD 20,000 from a bank branch in Shuwaikh, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the man noted the car plate number and informed the Shuwaikh Industrial Area Police Station.
A check on the car showed the vehicle was reported stolen by its owner.
