Resignation - Notice of 15 days

I plan to resign in July. I’ve read about the 15-day period of resignation followed by private sector companies? Or do I have to give 3 months prior notice? It is written in our agreement form that I have to compensate our company to the tune of KD500/- for breach of contract.

Name withheld

Answer: The 15-day notice period is for those people in whose contract there is nothing mentioned on the issue. But as you said, your contract mentions a three-month notice period so you have to follow that or you will be in breach of the contract and you will have to pay KD500/- as compensation to the company.
