KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: Police officers from Haw-alli Command arrested four persons for causing public nuisance to their neighbors in Hawalli.
Officers at the Operations Room received a call from a neighbor complaining some people were beating drums and singing on top of their voices, which had constituted disturbance to the entire area, while police arrived at the scene and arrested the suspects. They were made to sign an undertaking of good conduct and promised not to repeat such an act.

Vice dens raided: Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers have raided two apartments used as prostitution dens, resulting in the arrest of five prostitutes and 12 pleasure-seekers who were referred to the authorities for prosecution, reports Al-Anba daily.
Among those arrested is an Iraqi woman reported missing several days ago, along with a compatriot, an Ethiopian woman and 12 pleasure-seekers in one of the apartments.  Two more Iraqi women and a female pimp were also arrested when the team raided the second apartment.


Police rushed to a desert in Mutla’a after receiving information about graves in the area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Upon arrival at the scene, police found 16 graves (above), believed to be used by sorcerers as they discovered several magic paraphernalia in the graves.

 

Firemen hurt in bachelor’s residence blaze : Two firefighters were asphyxiated during a fire-fighting operation in Khaitan area Friday, say sources. A fire broke out in a bachelors’ accommodation in the area and rapidly spread to the entire building of almost 400 meters area.
Manager of Public Relations and Media at Kuwait Fire Services Department (KFSD) Khalil Al-Ameer said firefighters from Al-Farwaniya, Al-Ardiya and Mishref fire stations rushed to the scene and doused the fire in a two-and-half hour operation.
Al-Ameer said firefighters averted a major disaster by taking out gas cylinders from the building. He urged people not to store gas cylinders in houses, particularly those which do not conform to international safety standards.
Meanwhile, firemen from the Farwaniya Fire Fighting Center recently pulled out a bus which had fallen in a ditch in Khaitan, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The daily without going into details said there were no casualties.

Child injured: A Kuwaiti child was seriously injured when his ‘buggy’ overturned in Kabad area. He was referred to Farwaniya Hospital, say sources, adding a case was registered.
In another development, a  Kuwaiti woman in her 30s was seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision at a road intersection between Qadsiya with Mansouriya has been hospitalized, reports Annahar daily. The cause of the accident is not known, but vehicular traffic in the area was disrupted for some time.
