Woman gets life in jail for killing husband Man pays heavy price for getting new wife
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: The Criminal Court Tuesday sentenced a Kuwaiti woman, identified only as Tahani, to life imprisonment for the premeditated murder of her husband in Khaitan.
Case papers indicate based on the confession made by the accused, on the day that the husband died she had decided to kill him because he had allegedly married another woman and for this purpose she had bought four kitchen knives the day before she killed him.
She also confessed in court she had tried in vain to convince her husband to forget about the new wife and return to her. She pointed out the man refused to divorce his new wife and she decided to murder him. When the man went to bed that night and fell asleep she stabbed him in the chest several times until she was sure he was dead.
However when she was told the man was dead she got the shock and lost her composure and said she loved him a lot.
The session was presided over by Judge Abdurrahman Al-Darmi.
