2 stabbed in Taima free-for-all 3 held drunk in Hawally
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: Two Kuwaiti youths sustained injuries in a free-for-all among a group of youths in Taima. Sources say a minor disagreement escalated into a physical fight and soon sharp weapons were used to settle scores. According to sources, had police not come on the right time, there would have been more serious injuries.
Police is summoning all those who were involved in the fight.
3 held drunk: Security officers from Hawally arrested three citizens in their 20s for alcohol consumption, while three bottles of imported wine were found in their possession.
According to security sources, the officers noticed an erratic movement of a vehicle and ordered the driver to stop. Upon questioning, police discovered the driver and his companions were intoxicated. They were referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.
Mum seeks compensation: A Kuwaiti child suffered severe injuries after a Kuwaiti man rammed his car into the child’s buggy, say sources. Paramedics reportedly offered first aid to the child and securitymen left the scene assuring the child’s parents that their son was fine. The child’s mother, however, told Al-Seyassah daily that his son was not properly examined and that he suffered severe injuries. She also told securitymen that the accident caused them financial loss as the buggy was completely damaged. Reportedly, policemen gave the description of an American car and told the woman to look for it in Jalaia desert and demand whatever compensation she wanted from the accused. The woman said she failed to find the suspect.
Liquor trader nabbed: Farwaniya securitymen apprehended an Asian expatriate in possession of 24 bottles of liquor during their routine patrol of the governorate.
Security sources said the suspect was caught by police, while he was promoting the contraband for sale in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. He was immediately referred to the concerned authority.
Labourer hurt in fall: An Asian laborer, in his 40s, sustained multiple injuries and fractures when he fell from an under construction building in Hawally.
Paramedics and securitymen were dispatched to the location immediately after the Operations Room received a call about the incident. The laborer was taken to Farwaniya Hospital and investigations are underway to identify the actual reason behind his fall.
In an unrelated incident, an unidentified person was found unconscious in his car in Farwaniya.
Security sources said a passerby noticed a man who lost consciousness inside his car, so he immediately called the emergency hotline to report the incident. Paramedics and securitymen rushed to the location and referred him to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.
Tent fire hurts citizen: A Kuwaiti citizen sustained minor burns when fire erupted at a tent in Al-Subbiya, causing huge material losses. The Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a call about the fire, whereas firefighters and paramedics were swiftly dispatched to the scene. The firefighters managed to put out the blaze, and the case was registered.
