KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Acting on information received by the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry about an Egyptian who stabbed his mother, brother and sister and tried to commit suicide by slashing an artery on his right foot, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene and referred them to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.
Mother of the suspect told police his son began threatening to kill them after he returned from Egypt, whereas he tried to kill the family by stabbing them on the road. The suspect has since been referred to the Psychological Hospital, and the case has been registered.
Meanwhile, three youths, believed to be in their 20s, have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a Filipino woman in Jahra area Thursday evening.
The victim, who is in her 30s, lodged a police complaint saying the men bundled her into their vehicle when she was walking  along a road and took her to a desert area where they raped her successively. They allegedly dropped her again in the same vicinity from where they picked her up and fled away.
Securitymen promptly informed all security checkpoints and gave description of the alleged rapists’ vehicle and it led to their swift arrest.


Kuwait woman duped: A Kuwaiti woman has been duped to the tune of KD 15,000 by a supposed business associate. The woman filed a complaint at Capital Police Station saying the man approached her with a business deal, but became unreachable once she parted with the said amount. She said she tried to call him on his mobile phone and even made several visits to his house to no avail. Police are trying to track down the cheat.
In a separate incident, a 40-year-old Filipino woman lodged a complaint against an Egyptian cashier saying he tried to molest her and tried to induce her with KD 5. A case has been registered at Ferdous Police Station.
In an unrelated event, a Kuwaiti woman alleged that an Asian driver pushed her with a shopping trolley due to which she sustained a fracture in the leg. She submitted a medical report to support her claim. Police are investigating the case.
