Cashier offers maid KD 5 for kiss Filipina flees kidnappers

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: A Filipina, in her 30s, lodged a complaint at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station against three men who allegedly tried to kidnap her within the vicinity Tuesday evening.
The woman told police the suspects parked a car close to her while she was walking along the main road, then two men tried to force her into the car while the other was waiting inside.
However, she resisted and escaped from the scene. She supported her claim with a medical report and gave police vivid description of the suspects and their vehicle. Police have circulated the information to clamp down on the perpetrators.

KD 5 for a kiss: An Arab man working as a cashier at a branch of Farwaniya Cooperative Market has been arrested for allegedly offering to pay KD 5 to an Asian housemaid in exchange of a kiss, say sources.
The maid was reportedly sent to the cooperative to buy some items, but on receiving the indecent proposal, she fled from the scene and complained to her sponsor. The sponsor promptly took her to police station and lodged a complaint. The cashier, however, denies the accusation.

Sword used in fight: A Kuwaiti citizen sustained face injury and lost consciousness after he engaged another GCC national in a fight in Ferdous area. Security operatives rushed to the location after a call was placed to the Operations Room to report the incident and the Kuwaiti was referred to Farwaniya Hospital, and been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
According to eyewitnesses, the GCC national was driving in a reckless manner when the citizen came out from his house to confront him, and it resulted in the quarrel. The GCC national is said to have drawn a sword from his car and slashed the face of the Kuwaiti with it. He has since been detained at the police station for further investigation, pending the recovery of the victim.

Actor harasses cops: Hawally securitymen have arrested an Arab actor for harassing traffic officers in Salmiya.
Security sources revealed the actor was annoyed when the officers issued a traffic citation against him, so he verbally abused the officers, who arrested him and detained him at Rumaithiya Police Station.

Kuwaiti’s tent stolen: A Kuwaiti has lodged a complaint at Jahra Police Station against an unidentified person who allegedly stole his tent in the Sabiya desert area.
The complainant told police he was surprised when he found his tent was missing upon arrival at the camping site.  He reported the incident immediately to police.  The case has been registered for investigation.

Two motorbikes stolen: A Kuwaiti, in his 40s, filed a complaint at Ashbiliya Police Station against unidentified persons he accused of stealing two motorbikes worth KD 2,600 from his house Tuesday.
The Kuwaiti told police he discovered the motorbikes were missing when he was preparing to go to the camp site.  A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to identify the thieves.

Chalet robbed: A Kuwaiti, in his 50s, filed a report at Khiran Police Station against some thieves who burgled his chalet and carted away valuable sets of furniture worth KD5,000.
The complainant found the items were missing when he went to the chalet with his family. He immediately informed police who lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Family driver killed: A family driver died on the spot and nine persons from one family were injured following a two-vehicle collision, reports Arrouiah daily.
The injured persons were rushed to the Jahra Hospital. The remains of the driver have been referred to Forensics.
