KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20:  Ahmadi securitymen have arrested an officer with the rank of first sergeant at the Ministry of Interior for raping 15 Asian women at his flat in Salmiya.
According to security sources, the suspect is in charge of transporting female inmates from the police station to the concerned authorities.  Before referring some of the female inmates to the authorities, he allegedly took them to his flat in Salmiya where he and his friend took turns in raping them.
Sources said the securitymen arrested the officer after receiving several complaints from the female inmates.  During interrogation, he admitted the crime and told police that his friend also raped the women.
A case was registered and investigations are underway.  Police will also summon the suspect’s friend for questioning.

Call traders arrested : A night patrol team from the Capital governorate raided various illegal international call centers in Sharq, and took into custody 7 Asians, following a tip-off they received about five places where international calls were offered to expatriates at a cheaper rate. Several sophisticated gadgets used in the trade were seized by the officers from the five flats they raided.
Security sources added three of the suspects tried to escape, but the officers managed to arrest them. The culprits, with the seized items, were referred to the concerned authorities for further investigation.

Child molested: Securitymen from the General Criminal Investigations Department (GCID) have arrested an Egyptian for molesting a five-year-old girl.
In a press statement Wednesday, official spokesperson and Manager of Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior Colonel Mohammed Hashim Al-Sabr revealed Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Lieutenant General Ghazi Abdurrahaman Al-Omar has instructed the concerned authorities to intensify the search efforts.  He said Manager of Hawally Criminal Investigation Department Colonel Abdurrahman Al-Suhail led a team of securitymen, who raided a bachelors’ residential unit in Hawally and arrested the suspect.  The Indian housemaid and the victim identified the suspect in a legal lineup.
During interrogations, the suspect admitted the crime.  He was referred to the authorities for further investigation and other legal action.

Bahraini sells visas: Secur-itymen from the General Immigration Department have arrested a Bahraini who obtained 90 illegal residence permits under five imaginary companies.
Acting on information about a GCC national trading in visas, the securitymen put the suspect under surveillance.  Preliminary investigations revealed the suspect is a Bahraini who used five imaginary companies to obtain 90 residence permits sold to expatriates at KD1,000 to KD1,200 each.  He was referred to the authorities for the necessary legal action.
