Fleeing, maid nabbed Maid steals cash

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20:  Secur-ity operatives arrested an Indian housemaid for stealing KD 7,000 from her sponsor’s home and escaped.
The sponsor told police he was shocked when he entered the room and found the safe had been conked out. That was when he noticed the maid’s absence.
Moreover, inquiries revealed the suspect was trying to leave the country, so he swiftly informed police, while the maid was traced and arrested at the airport before her departure. She has since been referred to the authorities for prosecution.

Four caught drunk: Securitymen apprehended four citizens, after they were found under the influence of alcohol along the Coastal Road in Ahmadi.
The officers were on routine duty in the area, when they spotted the suspects’ car and ordered the driver to stop. However, the officers discovered the driver and his three companions were drunk, so they were arrested.
Police went on to search inside the car and discovered a bottle of imported liquor, while a check on their data revealed one of the suspects had evaded one jail term. The suspects were referred to the authorities for further investigation.

Maid steals cash: Police arrested an Indian housemaid, in her 30s, for stealing KD 370 from her sponsor’s house in Al-Rehab Tuesday. The sponsor told police he and his family went out and discovered the money was missing when they returned home.  He immediately informed police who arrested the Indian housemaid. During interrogations, the housemaid admitted the crime, so a case was registered against her.

4 cells stolen: A thief managed to steal four mobile phones from a car parked in front of a building in Taima.
A case was registered at the Taima police station and investigations are underway to find and arrest the culprit.
In a similar story, a company in Amghara reported the theft of some electric generators from their stores.  A case was registered and investigations are on to find and arrest the thieves.

Boy hurt in fall: A 10-year-old boy sustained multiple injuries when he fell from the roof of his family’s house in Abdullah Al-Mubarak Tuesday.
After receiving information about the incident, the Operations Room dispatched a team of securitymen and paramedics to the location.  The child suffered from fractures in the right leg and injuries in other parts of his body.  He was taken to Farwaniya Hospital.
Police are now conducting investigations to determine the actual circumstances which led to the incident.
