KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: Five members of a Kuwaiti family, including an undisclosed number of children, miraculously escaped death Thursday when their vehicle suddenly went in flames on the Fifth Ring Road opposite Omariya.
Firefighters, paramedics and securitymen rushed to the location after the Operations Room received information about the incident. Upon arrival at the scene, firemen doused the fire which engulfed the car, while the paramedics referred the family to Farwaniya Hospital.
Eyewitnesses revealed the fire started in the front part of the vehicle and the driver stopped immediately after noticing the fire, so the whole family got out in time.

20-year-old girl missing: A Kuwaiti, in his 50s, filed a missing person report on his 20-year-old daughter at Rawda Police Station Thursday.
According to the complainant, his daughter left their house after a heated argument with her mother. He called their relatives and friends but none of them know her whereabouts. His efforts to contact her went in vain as her mobile phone has been switched off. He provided police with a detailed description of the young woman to facilitate search procedures.

Luxury car stolen: A Kuwaiti, in his 30s, lodged a complaint at Rawda Police Station Thursday against an unidentified person who allegedly stole his luxury car.
The complainant told police he was surprised when he went out of his house as he could not find his luxury car. He then called his brothers to inquire if they took the car but none of them did, so he immediately reported the incident to police. He provided police with a detailed description of the vehicle, as well as the plate number, to ease the investigation procedures. Copies of which have also been distributed to various security institutions and checkpoints to track down the thief.

Indian tries to end his life: An Indian, in his 30s, tried to commit suicide Thursday by cutting his wrists in Hassawi.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information about the suicide attempt. They found the Indian bleeding his room in Hassawi. He is now confined at Farwaniya Hospital.
A case was registered and investigations are in progress to determine the actual reasons behind the Indian’s attempt to end his own life.
