25 held in prostitution Whisky cartons seized

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 2: Ahmadi securitymen have arrested 25 Asians for engaging in prostitution and seven others for operating international call centers in Fahaheel.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided an apartment used for prostitution in Mangaf, leading to the arrest of 25 Asians. They also nabbed seven other Asians who offer cheap but illegal international call services to their compatriots in Fahaheel.

Youth in ICU: A Kuwaiti citizen aged 18 years was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Jahra Hospital after he was attacked by two youths.
The citizen was injured during a quarrel with the other two youths in Jahra and was rushed to the hospital after paramedics discovered that he had been stabbed in the back. The other two participants were arrested by security officials and investigations are on to determine the reason behind the quarrel.

Asian stealing petrol: Jahra securitymen have arrested an Asian for stealing benzene. While on routine patrol in the area, the securitymen noticed a vehicle loaded with 50 barrels of benzene so they investigated the driver who admitted he previously sold the stolen substance in Iraq. He was referred to the concerned authorities for the necessary legal action.

Whisky cartons seized: Security operatives at the Abdali land borders arrested two Asians in possession of a carton of Black Label whisky.  Security sources said the officers noticed the Asians were confused when they approached the border, which prompted the officers to search inside their car, and discovered liquor. They were referred to the concerned department, with the contraband.

Two held with drugs: A Syrian expatriate and a Bedoun – were arrested in possession of narcotics pills on King Fahad Expressway.
Security officials on routine patrol duty in the area became suspicious of the behavior of the youths and searched them. They were arrested after the officials found the pills and were referred to the authorities for further action.

Man reports safe stolen: A Kuwaiti citizen filed a case at the Sulaibikhat police station Saturday morning, reporting that his safe was missing from his house. The citizen told the officials that the thieves climbed the fence of his house and stole the safe, which contained KD 1,000 and 25 expensive watches, in addition to jewelry. He named a construction worker employed at a neighbor’s house as a suspect. Investigations are currently underway to ascertain and arrest the culprit.
