‘Red signal jumped’ Woman ‘handed over’ to police for insulting officer
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has been handed over to the Shuwaikh Police Station for insulting a police officer, reports Al-Dar daily. According to a security source when the officer on duty at the Second Ring Road saw a car crossing the red traffic light ordered the woman to pull over.
When she was asked for her identity she began to insult the officer. When the officer issued a citation, she allegedly threatened the officer saying she will ask her colonel husband to fire him from the job. This prompted the police to refer her to a police station for necessary action.
