Filipina escapes ‘rapists’ Frenchman hurt in fight

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: A Kuwaiti citizen aged 19 years sustained injuries to his head in a quarrel with two compatriots in front of a school in Sabahiya Wednesday evening.
Security officials and paramedics rushed to the scene on receiving information about the fight and referred the victim to Adan Hospital. The other participants managed to flee from the scene and a case was registered to find and summon them for interrogation.
Meanwhile, an Egyptian expatriate in his thirties sustained a deep cut to his hand in a quarrel with another Arab expatriate in Farwaniya Wednesday evening. While the injured was referred to Farwaniya Hospital, the other involved was arrested and referred to the authorities. During interrogations, it was revealed that the fight took place due to previous personal conflicts.
Also, a French national sustained injuries in a fight with an Arab expatriate. The victim was referred to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital by paramedics and the Arab was arrested and referred to the authorities for interrogation. A case was registered.

Filipina escapes abduction: A Filipino expatriate in her 30s has filed a case in Farwaniya police station against three men who approached her on the street and tried to force her into their vehicle, while she was walking home in the night.
The woman added the men fled the scene when she started screaming for help, and securitymen took the description of the suspects, while their information is circulated at checkpoints for their arrest.

Trio caught drunk: Two Kuwaiti women and their male compatriot were arrested under the influence of alcohol in Salmiya. They were also found in possession of imported liquor.
Security sources said the officers noticed an erratic movement of the suspects’ vehicle and ordered the driver to stop. During interrogation, the officers realized the driver and his two women friends were intoxicated. They were all referred to the authorities for further investigation.

Man awaits loan return: A Kuwaiti citizen in his thirties registered a case against his friend at the Hawally police station, accusing him of duping the citizen of KD 6,000.
The citizen told security officials that his friend had borrowed the money, promising to return it soon, but failed to do so even after five months. When the citizen tried calling him on his cell phone, he found that it had been switched off. Visits to the friend’s house also proved fruitless.
The officials recorded details of the incident and investigations are on to find and arrest the accused.
