KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: Zain the leading telecommunications operator in Kuwait, across the Middle East and Africa continued in its efforts to support the Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association (KKMA), the largest Muslim Non Profit Social Cultural Association. Being the main sponsor of its mega fundraising event Eid Milan, Zain contributed in opening of KKMA’s the 5th kidney dialysis Center in Kerala India. 
On Dec 18, 2009, Waleed Al Khashti, Corporate Communications and Relations in Zain Kuwait joined dignitaries from State of Kerala in inaugurating a Kidney Center in the city of Kasargod Kerala State. The KDC opened in Carewell Hospital at Kasaragod is a part of KKMA’s visionary project to have one such center in each district of Kerala State, India. The first of its kind center was opened at IQRAA International Hospital and Research Center in the city of Calicut in June 2006. In following years, three more centers were established in Trichur and Malappuram districts of Kerala and one in Mangalore, Karnataka State.
It is now the 4th consecutive year Zain Kuwait supporting KKMA being in major sponsor of social change projects. Zain officials have attended inaugural events of two kidney centers in Kerala during last two years.
Waleed Al Khashti said “We are delighted to once again make this contribution, this support will directly benefit the people that need kidney treatment in India.
Al Khashti praised Zain’s successful experience with KKMA and lauded what he described as a positively active role played by the company in providing help to people in need especially outside Kuwait,
He added, Zain Kuwait allocates a considerable part of its Corporate Social Responsibility plan to support health sector inside and outside Kuwait were this sponsorships reflects our companies commitments to support charitable organizations that are actively involved in health care activities locally and globally as well.
