KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: A night patrol team affiliated to Farwaniya Security Governorate arrested 5 Asians who operated liquor factory and 18 other persons wanted by law for various crimes, including illegal international call operation, during a recent campaign in the area.
The culprits were arrested from several areas within the governorate, including Khaitan, Jleeb Shuyoukh, Farwaniya, Rehab, and Riqqae at various checkpoints.
Security operatives received a tip-off about a liquor factory in Jleeb Shuyoukh operated by two Asians, whereby the officers raided the place and seized 280 bottles of liquor ready for sale. The officers continued their campaign and arrested 3 other Asians who run illegal international call centers within the same area.
The culprits have since been referred to the concerned authority, while the campaign is expected to continue over an unspecified period.
