Traffic accident claims life of 35-year-old citizen
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: A series of traffic accidents that occurred at various locations in Kuwait during the weekend resulted in the death of a Kuwaiti citizen, while several people sustained injuries.
A Kuwaiti citizen aged 35 years lost his life while his compatriot aged 23 years sustained injuries in a traffic accident that took place along Diving Road in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Saturday morning.
Security officials and paramedics rushed to the scene on receiving information about the accident and referred the victim to Adan Hospital.
They also found that the Kuwaiti citizen died on the spot due to severe injuries to his skull and sent his body to the Forensic Department for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, two GCC citizens and a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision along King Fahad Road opposite Wafra.
They were referred to Adan Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
In another story, three women - two Kuwaitis and one Egyptian — sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision.
They were referred to Mubarak Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered. Security officials cleared the cars from the road and restored traffic movement that had come to a halt due to the accident.
In a separate incident, an Indian woman aged 31 years suffered severe injuries and fractures when she was knocked down by a motorist on Istiqlal Road.
She was referred to Amiri Hospital by paramedics.
In an unrelated story, a Kuwaiti citizen aged 24 years sustained injuries when his motorbike overturned in Salam area.
He was referred to Mubarak Hospital by paramedics.
Similarly, a Kuwaiti citizen aged 19 years suffered severe damage to his back when his motorbike overturned in Julaia. He was referred to Adan Hospital by paramedics.
Also, a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries to his body in an accident in Sharq.
He was rushed to Amiri Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
A Kuwaiti citizen in his thirties sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on 7th Ring Road.

Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate aged 29 years sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Fahaheel Expressway.
He was referred to Adan Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
On the other hand, two Bedouns in their thirties sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Abdalli Motorway.
They were referred to Jahra Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
In a different part of the country, four Bangladeshi nationals sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision.
They were referred to Adan Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
In a similar story, an Egyptian expatriate in his forties sustained injuries when his vehicle collided with another in Salmiya.
He was referred to Amiri Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
Another two-vehicle collision at a pedestrian crossing in Qairawan resulted in the injury of three Kuwaiti women.
They were referred to Sabah Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
Also, an Egyptian expatriate sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on 6th Ring Road opposite a commercial complex.
Security officials and paramedics rushed to the scene on receiving information about the accident and referred the victim to Farwaniya Hospital. A case was registered.
