Kuwaiti MPs slam Israeli violations ‘Hold Tel Aviv accountable for its practices’

CAIRO, Dec 26, (KUNA): Some Kuwaiti members of parliament called here on Saturday for stopping the Israeli violations against Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem city — in particular Al-Aqsa Mosque (i.e. Dome of the Rock). Kuwaiti MPs Marzouq Al-Ghanem, Ali Al-Daqbasi, Mubarak Al-Khrainij and Mukhled Al-Azmi have, in statements to (KUNA) following their participation in a special meeting on Jerusalem as part of the second ordinary session of the interim Arab parliament, hold Israel fully accountable for its violations practices including evacuating and demolishing houses in the occupied Jerusalem and the area surrounding Al-Aqsa Mosque. They said that these violations aim at judaizing Jerusalem and changing its demographic and geographical landmarks. MP Marzouq Al-Ghanem said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Jerusalem file needs an immediate action, especially under the repeated Israeli assaults and violations against Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Ghanem added that we should not be content with protests and condemnations, but there should be fresh stances made to deal with the assaults launched by the zionist entity and this is a religious, legitimate and Arab nationlist assignment toward this issue.
On his part, Kuwaiti MP Mubarak Al-Khrainij said in a similar statement to KUNA that Kuwait participates through this high-profile parliamentary delegation in this meeting earmarked for the Jerusalem issue and Al-Aqsa mosque as the primary cause of the Arabs.
Al-khrainij added that all participating delegations have stressed the necessity of protecting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He said that one of Israel’s latest violations is denying the Arab delegations including the Kuwaiti one led by the secretary-general of the National Council of Arts, Culture and Literature to attend Jerusalem “ Al-Quds” celebration as the cultural capital of the Arab homeland.

On his part, Kuwaiti MP Ali Al-Daqbasi has confirmed in another statement to KUNA the significance of this activity related to Jerusalem on the sidelines of the Arab parliament session. He said that Jerusalem is a paramount issue to the Arab nation and there should be concerted efforts by all Arab countries to highlight it in various regional and international forums.
He added that all calls in this session and previous ones centred around a single topic which is to address the Palestinian issue that is said to be the biggest obstacle to efforts aimed at halting the Israeli zionist acts of rampage and protecting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Eventually, he hoped that transitional Arab parliament will manage to finalize its statute law in order to bring to light a standing Arab parliament to serve the Arab nation and achieve its goals through a unified Arab stance sorting out all Arab crucial issues.
