The champions trophy went to Indian Educational School
India International School, Mangaf conducts School Debate competition

India International School, Mangaf conducted the 1st Yusuf Saleh Alyan Memorial Inter School Debate competition on Dec 19. The chief guest at the debate was Saleh Alyan the son of late Yusuf Saleh Alyan. The Director Moosa Koya welcomed all the dignitaries like Ibrahim Al Barges, Ahmad Al Tharchi. Casri al Balkan, Adnan, Das, Jins, Rajesh Sagar and K.G. Abraham Managing Director of NBTC. The judges for the debate were Dr Sangeetha Raj Managing Editor, Kuwait and Valia Sajjad, a senior correspondent, Arab Times.

The principal Anis Ahmad introduced the motion ‘Should Media be Given Absolute Freedom?” and it was declared open by the chief guest Saleh Alyan. The stage was managed by the members of the English Literary Club of India International School, Master Abdul Azeez, Miss Leya and Miss Asma.
Eleven Indian schools participated in the competition.

The programme was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life. The results are: The champions trophy went to Indian Educational School (BVB). The members of the team were: Vedula Soundarya Lahari and George Vijay Koshi. The runners up trophy went to Fahaheel alwataniya Indian Private School (DPS). The members of the team were: Raghavi Vishwanath and Shivam Sharma.
