Kuwait City, 22 Dec: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant, the Hawalli police raided an apartment in Hawalli and arrested six couples for indulging in immoral activities, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source said the raiding party has also seized nine bottles of whisky. At the time of arrest some persons were reportedly high on alcohol.
The source added the women are expatriates and they will be deported from the country upon completion of the formalities.

Woman escapes rape: Police are looking for an Egyptian man for attempting to ‘rape’ the wife of his friend, reports Al-Shahed daily.
 It has been reported the incident took place when the suspect went to visit his friend. When he discovered the friend was not there he attempted to have sex with his wife and when the latter screamed for help, neighbors rushed to her rescue.
It has also been reported when the neighbors attempted to prevent the man from escaping he pulled out a knife and attempted to stab them.

Egyptian escapes with KD 1,500: Police are looking for an Egyptian accountant working for a sports shop in Al-Rai in connection with betrayal of trust, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to a complaint filed with the police the man has escaped with KD 1,500.

Drug possessers arrested: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested two Kuwaitis for possessing drugs, reports Arrouiah daily.
The suspects were arrested while driving along a road between Al-Qosour and Al-Oyoun.
Police records show the men had earlier been sentenced in absentia for consuming drugs and one of them is also wanted in connection with a financial crime.
Police have seized from the men two sachets of heroin.
