Interior Ministry officers interrogate the drug trafficker
Egyptian trucker arrested with 80,000 narcotic pills Kuwait City : Officers from the General Drug Control Department (GDCD) have arrested an Egyptian truck driver for trading in drugs with 80,000 narcotic pills in his possession.
According to a reliable source from the department, GDCD Director General Brigadier Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa received information about an Egyptian truck driver trading in drugs in the country. He immediately formed a team who put the suspect under surveillance. Two weeks later, the team confirmed the suspect gets drugs from Iraq and sells them in Kuwait. The team then arranged an entrapment and sent an undercover agent to purchase 3,000 narcotic pills worth KD 3,000 from the suspect.
The undercover agent met the suspect at Amghara scrapyard and the authorities arrested him red-handed upon completion of the bogus transaction. They also found 77,000 narcotic pills inside the truck.
