Iranian arrested; Busted for opium KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: Anti-narcotics officers arrested an Iranian Tuesday for trafficking in drugs with half kilogram of opium in his possession. Acting on a tip-off, General Director of General Drug Control Department (GDCD) Brigadier Ahmad Al-Khalifa formed a security team tasked to put the suspect under surveillance. After confirming the suspect is trading in opium, the team tried to arrange a bogus transaction but they failed, so they requested for a search warrant from the Public Prosecution. The team raided the suspect’s apartment in Fahaheel where they found half kilo of opium and some tools used for consuming drugs. He was referred to the authorities for interrogation and other necessary legal actions.
