Porn CDs, liquor found with Bangladeshi man and Srilankan woman at checkpoint
Kuwait : Police have arrested a couple — a Bangladeshi man and a Sri Lankan woman — for possessing porno CDs and three bottles of local booze, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The couple was arrested at a police check point in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
Bootlegger arrested: Police have arrested an Asian man for bootlegging, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The suspect was caught selling booze in a suburb of Saad Al-Abdullah and he reportedly tried in vain to escape when he saw a police vehicle coming in his direction.
Police have confiscated a large number of bottles from the man and referred him to the concerned authorities.
Police hunt for thieves: Police are looking for thieves for setting fire to a car, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources the suspects stole the car, may be used it to commit thefts and then set it on fire in Taima, Jahra.
Burst gutter causes damage: A sewage reservoir at a house in Sulaibiya burst recently and caused material losses, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Securitymen rushed to the location immediately after the Operations Room received information about the incident. They evacuated the house and summoned emergency personnel to fix the sewage. No casualties or injuries were reported but the incident is said to have caused damages to the house.
15 illegal expats held: During a security campaign in the Capital governorate — Salhiya, the Shuwaikh Industrial Area and Al-Istiqlal Street — have arrested 15 expatriates for violating residence laws and 20 others for not carrying their identification papers, reports Arrouiah daily.
All those arrested have been referred the concerned authorities. Police have also issued 70 traffic citations during the campaign.
Thieves take earth cable: Electrical appliances in 30 homes in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh were completely damaged when volts raised from 220 to 380, reports Al-Anba daily.
Technicians from the Ministry of Electricity hurried to the area and fixed the fault. It has been reported that thieves stole earth cable from the main transformer which feeds the houses.
USBs, hard disks stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who reportedly broke the side glass of a car belonging to an Indian man which was parked in front of a building where he lives in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and escaped with memory flashes and hard disks of computers, reports Arrouiah daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
