Ahmed Al-Jarallah started working in journalism in an early age. He enrolled in the daily Kuwaiti “Al-Rai Al-Aam” newspaper in 1963. Al Jarallah and in a record time- of few months -and through his coverage of the local political events, could establish a curriculum press in a relation with the Kuwaiti political issues. The new curriculum press was presented in a daily article that was being published on the second page of “Al-Rai Al-Aam”. The article dealt with the political efforts of the country in its communication with the local, Arab and international issues and subjects in a time when the political life was newly developed in a country gained its independence in 1961. In addition to this perseverance on being attached to the local political analysis in the newspaper, Al-Jarallah developed his process to turn it into a detective one based on his own judgment to the situations through having interviews with the political figures. An adventure that worth being mentioned was his visit to the citadel of “Al Imam Bader” the previous Imam of Yemen who was battling to get his throne back from the former president “Abdullah Al-Sallal”. As days passed on Al-Jarallah became a reference for all the local and Arab secrets. His conscientious diligent work lead him to a remarkable notable position as he became the “Editor –in- chief deputy” acting on behalf of the chief during his absence.
As for his career with figures like kings and presidents; Al-Jarallah started his first harsh journal mission in 1963 when he took a courageous adventure in Yemen and met “Al Imam Bader” who brought that the deceased Egyptian president Jamal Abd Al Naser was killed in fatal battles with the Republicans. Later on he continued his foreign duties and met a number of Arab leaders, kings, and presidents. He is not only known for being a publisher, but also for being one of the remarkable distinguished journalists in the Arab world. His energy and the journal sense he had enabled him of accommodating and developing the concepts of publishing and satisfied his desire. He is being described and mentioned as one of the working staff and the complicated work mechanism in the newspapers of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times which he owns and directs and, also being described as a promoter for selling newspapers. Al-Jarallah won the rightful respect and place among his fellows who were working in the same field of journalism.
It is known that Al-Jarallah had always had a supportive perspective of the Egyptian - Israeli Peace treaty in its early stages; he also supported the efforts of the deceased’s Egyptian President Anwar Al Sadat that were crowned with signing Camp David Accords in 1978.
Al-Jarallah has his own methodology discussing each issue before involving himself in such issues; that is the main reason for his being appreciated and respected. As a publisher and a journal he plays an important role curing the critical issues in the Arab society as he is a good believer in factual democracy that does not contradict with the country, government or the law. From his perspective; democracy includes freedom of speech through the civil society organizations such as communities, assemblies, and media and it should respect laws and regulations. This way Al-Jarallah started his way to be known in the world and it was the foundation of his wealth, he believed and since the very beginning that his work is the quickest road to wealth. When he achieved his goal he proved to others that journalism deserves a special support and help from all kinds and different categories of the society especially those who are eager and selfish.
Al-Jarallah is known as one of the Arab journalism professionals and also as an important significant of wealth, business and economy because of his different wide investments across the both Arabic and regional levels. Al-Jarallah has wide large investments in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and Morocco and other places in the Asia and Africa. Al-Jarallah’s investments are with a great importance and value besides they symbolize the history of a man who did not let a room for disappointment and dimness in his life. His long journey in life was a clear symbol of sacrificing and excellence that drove him to success.
