We desire action rather than words

THE government’s five-year development plan, which was unanimously approved by the National Assembly Thursday, was the first of its kind in 24 years. The public is well disposed towards the approval as there are signs of optimism concerning their expectations.

The government intends to implement projects at an estimated total cost of KD 130 billion in the next four years — enough to compensate for losses incurred over the last 20 years. The plan is in the hands of the government, particularly Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Housing and Development Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahd who should quickly act to meet the expectations of citizens.

We desire action rather than words because we are fed up with the unnecessary noise which has been hampering our development efforts. Forgive us!

Is this a joke?Roland | 1/21/2010 11:09:36 AM It's been ages I'm in this country and all I see is that the country is going backward instead of forward. Should I believe this? The Parliament will surely block most of the projects in the coming months and years like it has always been done. I mean come on, we know that it's more important to focus on questioning a Minister during months rather than developping a country. This is obvious!
