“We are all for Kuwait and Kuwait is ours.” Forgive us!
THE Anti-Encroachment Committee has been taking strange measures, particularly its decision to uproot plants in front of houses. We hardly see any verdant area for us to breathe fresh air, since the committee has pulled out useful and beautiful plants in various parts of the country. Why has the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) not taken the responsibility of choosing which among these plants should be removed and which should be retained?
We agree that some plants destroyed the view of some houses and nobody minds if the committee removes these plants. However, it is a disgrace every time the committee uproots magnificent gardens, which beautify the country and protect people from dust. We should encourage those who decorate their houses, especially those who work hard to maintain beautiful gardens. We should not punish these people for the sins of others as this is against the Islamic Sharia. We must learn how to distinguish the good from the bad.
